Internal Self-Paced Workshop for STARTTS Staff
This workshop was recorded on 7-8 March 2024 exclusively for STARTTS’ staff, and features internationally renowned psychologist and author Dr John Arden. It presents a unique opportunity to deepen your clinical knowledge and enhance your practice with complex trauma clients using an integrative model grounded in neuroscience, attachment theory, and evidence-based treatment.
Workshop Focus:
- Understand how insights from neuroscience, epigenetics, immunology, and endocrinology can enhance therapeutic outcomes.
- Learn a synthesized hybrid model that moves beyond rigid theoretical schools to embrace a common factors approach.
- Explore how nervous system regulation supports changes in mood, behaviour, and trauma-related symptoms.
- Examine the neurodynamics of PTSD, especially the role of memory in trauma.
- Apply this knowledge to identify which psychotherapeutic techniques may be helpful or counter-therapeutic in trauma work.
This workshop is designed to support your ongoing professional development as part of STARTTS’ commitment to high-quality, evidence-informed care.
